I came up country on Friday and am currently snowed in near Redditch. We generally don't get snow on the ground down by us - must be 7 years since I saw any.
Anyhoo.....I managed to go to bed last night and I didn't wear any bed socks! How hard is that?!

My wife will be doing cross country tomorrow, as usual, wearing just a lycra top and shorts. The run (5 miles) goes through a village pond early on, and it will be snowing. Some lose their shoes in the mud, and finish the race barefoot. She'll probably get spiked.......lots do. And they hose themselves down before going in to get changed, so long as the hose isn't frozen. Did you say something about "hard"?
That's a decent distance, the Manchester league is usually only four miles for women, but six for men.

I was a bit soft last week though as I wore a t-shirt.

Yeah, I know. I've a half marathon PB under 78 minutes. I could run. I can't take the pain these days.......

Know the feeling.Up to about 10 years ago I ran 10ks until my knees cried enough. My fastest was 30 mins, did consider a half marathon but age and nackered right knee put an end to that.
I know excuses. Good time for the half marathon.Well done.
