I don't recall getting bad service from any online cycling retailer, and I've bought shed-loads of stuff the the last 2+ years. Any niggles I may have had have been promptly dealt with.

Wiggle and Tredz are the two shops I use. Avoid Evans at all costs.

I have received some pretty poor service in Evans at times, but I guess that can come down to the individual that you are dealing with. But I would say to you don't totally dismiss them and I have since learned to use them to my advantage.
When you want something see if someone else does it cheaper then go to their price match pledge to see if that competitor is on their list that they will price match with.
If they do, go through the process and then order it and this is where I really use it to my advantage. I get it delivered to my local store, close to where I work so I don't end up missing the post man and then have to chase around after the item. Also I am getting it cheaper than advertised on their site.

I wouldn't go near Evans online, don't mind popping into the shop as you can't go wrong there but online is a disaster. Ordered items and got told they will be delivered on x date, then got another email saying items were out of stock. Took 2 weeks to get money back and they even tried to offer me a gift voucher instead of cash which took 2 or 3 emails to resolve.
