Cycling along an almost 2 way road, bends and hedge so not fantastic visibility and suddenly Garmin device beeps and "Warning: Hazard Nearby" and sure enough 10 seconds later oncoming Audi round the bend ahead. Well impressed that the Garmin knew about it, knew it was a hazard and took the trouble to warn me in advance.

Are you sure it wasn’t just warning about a sharp bend in the road? My Garmin does that.

A while back while riding along a narrow lane my Garmin GPSMap64 jumped off the bike and into a ditch, I hopped off the bike and into said ditch to recover it just as a Range Rover came barrelling down the lane using all the road - that Garmin knew the only safe place to be was the ditch ^_^

I thought for Range Rover warnings you had to take out the Garmin Additional monthly "Range Rover" subscription.

Lefty tighty. Get it righty.
Back in the mists of time (2012) there was a Friday Night Ride to Whitstable, which has gone down in history as the "Wetstable" ride. It hammered down with rain pretty much all night. I wrote afterwards:
I discovered a hidden feature of my Garmin 60CSX. A self preservation artificial intelligence mode. It obviously discovered the weather forecast using its sensors and then went and hid. I searched and searched but couldn't find it anywhere and in the end set off without it. Once the coast was clear it came out of hiding and it was waiting for me when I got home with a smug look on its face.

The 'bend' warnings are funny. It's a bit like when I used to race in the Isle of Man International Cycling Week. It was just after the Manx TT so there were hay bales up and 'sharp turn' signs. No sharp turns at 30 mph though, might be at 150..... only one to worry about was Creg Ny Baa as we hit it at over 50 mph !

My Varia radar connected to my Wahoo flashes green for no cars, amber for cars approaching and flashes bright red for Audis, strange that.
