Six years ago,i was found to have Osteoarthritis and secondary Arthritis in both knees.
Hence the strange swellings after twisting and turning.Light duties for the past three years of my work.Anyway i digress.

Have not been on the bike for nearly three weeks .Holidays and such other distractions.

Not been sleeping well either. Both hips ached and had to try and sleep on my back.Stiffness in joints when i did get up .So i thought this could be the start of it as the Doc said it would happen .

Well yesterday 50 miles York.Stiff as a board last night after a soak.
This morning the best sleep in two weeks, and all joints free and loose and i am bouncing about.
So it seems cycling is keeping me supple and long may it continue.

That's good to know for all of us approaching the 'creaky' years! Long may it continue to help you!

I have arthritus in a lower bone in my back which puts pressure on my phsyatic nerve. Had it for 10 years now. Only get a good nights sleep after plenty of exercise.
