23 years after Wimbledon defeated Luton in the FA Cup semi-final, the team started and still owned by Wimbledon supporters when scurvy knave speculators stole their club and took it away to the benighted valley of shame and humiliation that is the Milton Keynes Bowl (boo, hiss, boo!!!) these two clubs will compete for promotion to the Football League.
Meanwhile MK Dons were getting thumped in their play-off game against Peterborough and will spend another year in League 1. If AFC do gain promotion (and all but the most ardent Luton fan will wish them well) they'll be only one division away from the odious Franchise United. History beckons.
