Wet applied lightly all year. I tried dry but found the chain quickly got more squeaky than it was squeaky clean.

Wet all year round for me too.

I tried some dry lube (muc-off, I think was) and according to the instruction it needs wait of 3-4 hours before application and usage for it to go off. CBA with that malarkey.

I found similar. Don't know why but dry lube just seemed to make more chain noise.

wet all year, but not the really thick sticky stuff. I tried dry lube and found it to be useless.

All-weather (which is basically a lightish wet lube). Dry lubes seem only good for commuting for me - the chain is noisy before the end of a long ride.
