It lived up to expectations. 30 miles on the bike in the p*ssing rain for some cod and chips and a pint and a half of ale. On the plus side though it wasn't too cold, so I wore fingerless gloves and the rain ran straight through them rather than collecting in the fingers as it does in the winter.

My ride buddy set off yesterday for a 24hr London to Paris ride.

Started raining hard as he left Greenwich and didn't stop for 185 miles. Not rained down in London for weeks (not hard).

Talk,about bad luck.
