Out and about this weekend testing out some new gear, staying with warmshowers hosts. Any tips for packing a wet tent? And im guessing if down sleeping bag gets wet...im in trouble

just take a bin liner and pack in there or something similiar. i actually use dry bags!!! Dont worry about neatness. just roll up and stuff in bag. i then strap the bag to the top of the rack with some bungy cords. When opportunity presents itself, dry over fence etc when having lunch!!
My rule (tent excepted) is not to get anything wet - everything packed in panniers before emerging into the elements - tent down and inner packed in a waterproof bag as soon as practical - I dont worry about outer - it will either dry when i put it up next time or it will not - the inner i find that any dampness soon goes next time i put it up.
