So I got up and cycled 6 miles to a job, did 4 hours hard manual labour in the roasting heat and then cycled home. Guess what happened 2 miles from home in the blistering heat?

Very funny. I got a puncture. I couldn't believe it as I packed all my stuff this morning, spare tubes and pumps etc. I've found that I usually get a puncture when I have no spares on me. I just wheeled it in a local hospital grounds and changed the tube in peace and quiet. Of course it was the back wheel naturally that had the puncture. It was a bit of a tussle getting the wheel back seated o.k. But I got there. The mini morph small hand/foot pump was very good.
The tyre leavers were absolute rubbish. The best ones I think are the Park tools ones in blue.
The culprit was a piece of glass which I pulled out.
