What are these?

These came with my new bike. I also saw them in a plastic bag attached to the handlebars of another bike in the shop today. I have no idea what they are or what they do.

I think they're short-reach adapters for your STI levers? You pull the lever in slightly and wedge it above so that the default position is a little closer to the bars. For those of us with small hands...

Bugger, threw mine away since I couldn't work out what they were! Fortunately I seem to be able to reach the levers without a problem.
