So she's finally agreed a bike would be a good idea for the family outings etc but now its a choice of which one, I have a Claud Butler Explorer 500 which suits me for pretty much everything I need, she's after something along the same lines and quite likes the Dawes Sport 2 (the pink bits did it) our budget is £400 or less any suggestions or feedback re the Dawes would be grateful

Nooo few reasons, I'd end up doing all the work, it wouldn't fit it the shed, kids trailer would make it even longer & she wouldn't be able to use it on her own, but more importantly I'd end up doing all the work

My wife got her bike yesterday. A basic general purpose Trek hybrid. We looked at quite a few from Giant,Specialized and even the halfords offering before she decided on the Trek. Why? She likes the saddle, she loved the black paintwork and silver mudguards

So off we went bike shopping yesterday... usual woman shopping had to go in every cycle shop in the area including Halfords... didn't get a bike but will end up back at the first shop we went to when she's officially made up her mind (like a woman ever makes up their mind)
