Hi i would like to know what bike out of the three listed would you buy:

Merida Reacto 5000 which has ultegra derailuers fsa cranks and 105 brake

Focus cayo ultegra which has full ultegra groupset

Cervelo s2 which has full ultegra groupset

All the bikes are at the top end of my budget of £2000

The one that fit me best, felt best on test ride and had the least black paintwork. You can't just buy a bike on components, it also needs to be the best tool for whatever job you need it to do

However, I'd probably go for the Focus on brand (unless it's black, then it wouldn't even make the list)

I think @derrick has the Cervelo. Not too many owners of the others (assume you've done a full search for existing threads)

Cervelo gas black frame blue letters
Focus has black frame white letters
Merida has black frame white and green letters

So i guess none of them would get on your list

On that basis, no

And I'm perfectly happy with my carbon roadbike  (which is probably more black than I'd like but hey )

I think my next bike purchase will be titanium with disc brakes and likely SRAM as I don't get on with shimano

Whichever one suited me best, and which I liked the most when I rode it.

Gut call says the Cervelo, but full Ultegra (really, hubs skewers, the lot?) won't automatically mean it'll be the best ride, although its an encouraging sign.

If I was spending 2k on a bike I'd either go for a self build as there are lots of cracking deals on frames and groupsets or I'd go Di2 off the peg so to speak.

I am far more interested in knowing which bike out of the three YOU would buy. Because everyone here will give you different answers based on their own preference. None of which will be helpful to you.

One day, someone will post a thread which says - "I just spent £2k on a bike without consulting an online forum"...and then I would love to see them enlarge on their reasoning and rationale for arriving at their own conclusion and making their own choice.

Meanwhile, I would recommend supporting Cervelo, because they are now supplying bikes to BC...

I was swayed to the Reacto at first but i am now sort of swayed towards Cervelo as they look like a all round type of bike while still having the areo frame.
