Hi folks, had to rejoin a forum, I live near Richmond ( N. Yorks) and am buying new bike but am stuck. I like the Tifosi CK7, but, am also tempted by the Ridley Eos only because it's on a triple. This is how silly a fix I've got myself into also like Kinesis Racelight TK2. So folks shoot down call me a fool but let's have informed opinion. I have had 3 years lay off and am back to good fitness, used to do loads of miles and things like the Darlington rides etc. In anticipation thanks

If the Tifosi is Sora shod I would go with the other two. Just to confuse the issue have you looked at Ribble, Planet X and Decathlon. They all have some cracking bikes at similar price points to the ones you are looking at.

Ridley are good bikes - but are a bit on the harsh side from my experience.

These days you can get good aluminium frames that weigh around 1kg - the benchmark is the CAAD10. So the TK2 is described as a winter trainer for good reason.

Have a look at carbon frames if you want more comfort. I'm not that well up on them as I'm an Alloy hold-out^_^

Thanks Hacienda71 the Tifosi I would go for would be the Campagnola variant. Never really thought about Ribble just to add to the pain :-) :-)

I don't know much about the Tifosi but I have a Kinesis Racelight Gran Fondo and love it. I think the TK2 shares the same Quasar wheels, totally bomb proof IME but the reviews say that is probably not the most exciting aspect. My rear started to fail slightly at 14,000miles and its now on the turbo bike but I didn't think they were boring but I'm only comparing with Aksiums.
