There have been thing like this popping up every few years for at least 20 years. Can remember seeing something similar of Tomorrows World when I was a kid. But they never catch on.

Maybe just a velcro wrist unit,with more lights so indicating can be seen easier,but the back thing is probably covered sufficiantly with vis and dayglo ?
