Recently painted 5 rooms of the house with so called wipeable matt emulsion, how do I know it is wipeable? well it says so on the tin. 5 weeks later the wife notices a small mark on the wall ( well she would do as she put it there) so I dabbed very gently with a slightly damp towel and the paint came off along with the mark. So I tried a corner of another room, another colour same manufacturer, this time moistened end of finger, again slight dab and paint pigments are coming away.

According to the German manufacturer the paint has a passed EU wipeability test at stage 3, there are 5 different stages, they did to be fair ask me what they could do to make me happy^_^ I said that is something I need to consider.

So as the title says, answers please. I am happy to accept I could be wrong on this.

Would you have used it if it had said on the tin, "one coat so long as you don't mind your paint work looking like a bag of sh!te, otherwise at least two coats if you want a proper job," or some other type of more accurate description?
if you put it like that then no
