What-ho! from West London

Hullo all

I'm about to attempt to own a bike for the first time in around in 16 years (when I were wee), after rediscovering cycling in Copenhagen and (grudgingly) through Boris bikes while out with Andrew Culture a few years ago.

Erm, I don't like London busses, am weary of pedestrians, and try to use non-bus routes whenever possible. Thus far, black cabs drivers have been on the whole okay - I'm interested to see if that changes going from a public bike to a private bike, as it were. Andrew has given me a few 'Bike Punx' stickers, too.

Hey, you got home ok! Nice to meet you and sorry if I was waffling a lot this afternoon - I was a little light-headed. It's the drugs, I tell you!
I find that cyclestreets.net is a good guide to quieter routes about town. The moderate routes are not usually much slower and they don't tend to make you get off and walk like their quietest routes do.
