What road bike?

I confess to not knowing much about bikes. I looking to move away from my Ridgeback speed hybrid and move to a road bike. I tested a Specialized Allez 16 2010 model bike today which I liked but also considering the following. I want a bike for rides like the FNRttC and the like. I struggle on hills at the mo and want something quicker and lighter. Just want some of your opinions please;

PS only can spend around £500 so anything else you could recommend from Evans cycles as this is where I have to shop for my ride to work scheme. Cheers

Out of those I like the Saracen. It looks better, its nice to have a consistent group set from Campag and its all-round better specced, imho. The thing you might want to consider is the Fuji is tripple and the 27 gears will give you a broader range for getting up those hills. However, the Saracens 20 should be enough anyway.
