I have a boardman cx comp (cyclocross) and I'm looking to get a set of road tyre for it as i am doing a road ride in a few weeks, what is the best road tyre in terms of punctures and little rolling resistance

4 Seasons IME are great for a few thousand miles (especially on the grip/roll front) but then suddenly start to go on the p'ture front. Gators are much more robust but some folk say they are skittish, though not in my experience. The cost of both these tyres however, pushed me to explore a few options and I found the Mitchellin Pro 4 Endurance (previously known as Kyrlion Carbons) a great alternative, capturing the best of both tyres.

Yep the Michelin Krylion Carbons were a great tyre. I ran a set for 6 thousand + miles before they were knackered. If you only want an occasional road tyre that won't break the bank try the Michelin Lithion 2. I'm running the 25mm width for daily riding and they work fine and no punctures yet. At about £25 pr they are good value as well
