what touring bike

hi, i want to buy a rearly good bike for life, touring bike.
can anybody help as ive looked at a few and rearly cant make mind up

How much money do you have? What ahve you looked at so far? People speak very highly of titanium but it's not inexpensive

one that is well made and is the right size and price is a good starting place

I've always been a great fan of the Dawes Galaxy range (though they may be a little over priced nowadays). Otherwise, perhaps think about a Ridgeback (Panorama, Journey, Voyage, or Tour), Spa Cycles do a decent tourer now, or even a Edinburgh Cycles Revolution.

Did you read the replies you got? What's the budget - a touring bike 'for life' could cost between £300 and £5000...or more...
