What tyre to go for?

When the tyres on my MTB wear out (Schwalbe Big Apples) I am thinking of replacing them with something different. What I am after is a tyre that has the following properties:

1. High puncture resistance.
2. Good grip in the wet.
3. Primarily used on tarmac but will cope with light off road (e.g. Downs Link type surfaces).
4. Not too expensive (< £30 each).

I'm not overly fussed about the rolling resistance.

Can anyone offer any recommendations? There seems to be a lot to choose from out there.

Thanks

1. Usual recommendation is for Schwalbe Marathon + for I use them on a rigid MTB and ride disused rail tracks without any bother. If the big apples are doing what you want of the tyre, can't see any reason why the M+ can't.

2. Seemed plenty of it in very heavy downpour yesterday

3. There is more aggresive tread patterns available with the smartguard if you think you need it 'Tour' & 'plus mtb'
4. Shouldn't be a problem

There is plenty of rolling resistance - so that will keep you happy
