I have never wanted anything to be true more than thisI know this is OT, but I have a vague recollection that I used to buy bubble gum in the shape of an LP. The LP/bubble gum cover was a miniture version of the original LP cover, along with (I think) lyrics of one of the songs printed on the cover. I'm sure I had an ABBA bubble gum once.
Tell me I wasn't imagining all this...

these days you don't even need to release a single to get in the charts... a handful of downloads from itunes will do the trick. These days to get to No1, if there is still such a thing, you probably only have to sell a couple of dozen singles, that's if they still make them.
Hope my insightful knowledge is of assistance!

The time was that "Gold" and "Platinum" discs for record sales were a big thing ("Silver" never was as that was awarded for yer family buying the song) and "artistes" and record companies gave a shoot...
Do these "awards" still exist?
A gold disc was awarded to 1 million sellers.
That's long been a thing of the past.
Great for the ordinary punter like me who enjoys a bit of moshing.
I like live music, but one doesn't mosh.
