What's happened to Byercycles?

I know a few folk who were great fans of his bikes and service - touring frame was effectively the same as Hewitt I think and somewhat better value.

I don't know but I was thinking of getting a touring bike from them. They do one with downtube shifters.

Guess I left it too long.

He made me a terrific pair of wheels to my spec and he seems still to be wheelbuilding. I have never been to the shop in person, but he and his wife sounded fairly elderly on the phone, so my guess is they are winding the business down slowly.

Pity if that's the case and they can't hand it on/keep it going - wondered of late if I should have gone there rather than Hewitt. Nice business model putting bikes together from standard quality bits.
