Thats what l was hoping for but l don't know how authentic it is . The forks are fully chromed and the dropouts are engraved coppi. As you can see the fork crowns have a nice C enclosed in a wreath. Ok so the frame has an old Fiorelli Novi decal and the fork tube has a very nice Coppi decal but my concern is that there seem to be far to many other decals allover the place, "over egging the pudding" a bit. Also the rear dropouts are not engraved Coppi.
On the other hand it comes with a Selle Royale leather covered saddle with a nice Coppi cartouche (a bit worn but perfectly clear).
I don't know if the Ofmega chainset is what you would expect paired with the campag. derailleurs.
Maybe lm being picky, what do you think....also l bought it cheaply from Italy, that makes me nervous :cuppa:

Are there any frame numbers or markings that match on both the frame and forks ?

How is the colour match , stickers can be added and removed easily

Are there any Coppi experts on the internet who might be able to help ?

Best thing is to put the questions behind you and just enjoy it and ride it with a smile

Yes you are right, l bought it because l liked it so why beat myself up with doubts.
The whole bike is so filthy and covered with cobwebs that it is hard to see anything like frame numbers at the moment.
I will poke about on the internet to see if anyone can help with age etc. but other than that l won't worry.
I think the frame is in its original colour, a sort of creamy white. That may be a help to a Coppi expert ?

Velobase.com is your friend ;)

Chainset is Ofmega Mundial

Not top of the line, but solid and dependable if you are building up a frame and realise you are over budget!

As ever l guess its "horses for courses" a top draw frame deserves the best and so on down the scale . I am more concerned with what is right for the period and what is appropriate for the quality of the frame,,,not that l am much good as a judge .
