Use the old A80? It must be fairly quiet now that the motorway has opened. Auchinairn Rd., Hillhead Rd., Royston Rd. to get to the A80.

Here's where I got the info from: http://bikeroutetoaster.com/Course.aspx

I cycle that route every day to work, not starting at spring burn but you could pick the route up. You travel through the park at Royston just next to the school you enter the road at the prossers garage and up the hill to BCA car auction. Up over the hill and follow the cycle path to muirhead but carry on on the right ie facing the oncoming traffic using the cycle path. When you get to the end of that cross over the A80 at the roundabout and follow the path to the top of the new roundabout then follow the path into mollinsburn then main road into Condorrat.

Hope that helps

Ps if you need better directions I will take my gps with me one morning and will send you the route.
