A lot of people like Shimano wheels, so I'll await the backlash, but the people I know with them have found them to be fragile and short lived. I did ride a pair of Fulcrum 7's for a while, and a friend is still riding the same pair. I'm 115kg, he's within 10kg of me....so we're both fairly beefy, but the wheels now have a couple of years on them and they're still round, still true, and have passed the 10k km mark. -- Nothing more you can ask for the pricepoint really.

I like Shimanos but they do have a reputation for being fragile. Although in my experience they have been good, my RS80s have now done 2000km on the very mediocre road surfaces around essex and still run fast, round, silent and true. I have been into a few potholes with them too, some of which would have required a ladder to climb out of. Never had fulcrums but they have a good reputation.
