So when you are out riding by yourself ie solo , do you find yourself ?

  1. Talking to yourself
  2. Making animal noise's
  3. Flying a fighter plane in a dog battle
  4. singing in a pop group
  5. Re enacting an argument or conversation you have had
  6. Driving a powerful car or boat
I must admit to a couple of the above

2 & 3 yesterday. Had a baaa at some lambs and was cycling along a quiet lane with arms spread wide like a schoolboy spitfire. Got to be done now & again.

  1. Talking to yourself - Yes, mind you I don't need to be out on the bike for this...^_^
  2. Making animal noise's - No, although I will say hello to cows and horses as I pass
  3. Flying a fighter plane in a dog battle - No
  4. singing in a pop group - No
  5. Re enacting an argument or conversation you have had - Yes
  6. Driving a powerful car or boat - No

I always find myself when I'm cycling.

On long rides/tours I have conversations with myself in different accents.

I say hello to various animals en route.

Sometimes I sing, but not very loudly.

And if on a tour, after a few weeks, I start thinking of all the good food/meals that I'll have been deprived of hitherto. :hungry:

So when you are out riding by yourself ie solo , do you find yourself ?

  1. Talking to yourself <-- this
  2. Making animal noise's <-- might try this next time
  3. Flying a fighter plane in a dog battle<-- that sounds like fun, never done it before
  4. singing in a pop group <-- no way
  5. Re enacting an argument or conversation you have had<-- used to, not any more, consciously keep that away
  6. Driving a powerful car or boat<-- yeah, car. Will try boat next time.
I must admit to a couple of the above

The only one I'm guilty of is going over arguments or conversations I've had and not necessarily recent ones either. I do find cycling is good for the mind and perfect for reconciling the events of the day. I can be a bit guilty of the ostrich thing, ignoring certain events but cycling seems to focus the mind more which is useful.

1 & 5 for me most of the time. I get a bit stern with myself at times, normally when going up hills, or trying to get the last few miles of a challenge ride done when I'm on my last legs.
A strange habit for me which has become automatic is to whistle when I'm indicating:whistle: No idea when it started or why..
