Thing with BMI is, it was never intended to be used for individual weight analysis. It was first developed to compare the weight/height ratio of whole populations compared to others, or the same population over time. As a tool for this kind of analysis it works well, as it ignores individual body types, which obviously vary across populations considerably. I use BMI as a general guide. It tells me I am no longer obese but merely overweight, which is how it feels to me. But I don't allow it to dominate my thinking.
