After months of searching I have just about decided what bike I want, and am almost certain to go down the C2W scheme.

I can get my bike in several places.

Dales Glasgow - loved the big showroom, no hassle in taking bikes outside for a wee shot.

Evans edinburgh - have been very helpful over the phone, but have not visited in person.

Edinburgh bike co-op - Are relatively local.

LBS - have bought from them before, bike fine, but no option to test drive etc, few minor niggles

Wherever makes you happiest, and wherever you feel are doing their best for you.

Depending on your DIY mecahical ability a good LBS relationship may, (or may not) be an important factor for you.

If so then you could test the bike you want at one of the others, but order it from your LBS once you know you're happy with it. Bit cheeky perhaps, but alls fair in love and business.

Otherwise I refer you back to my first sentence

Comes down to irrational opinion... who'd you rather buy from, the helpful sales assistant or the one who couldn't care less?
