Hi,

I have been using SIS REGO and body Fortressess Whey Protein supplements after cycling and running (not at the same time) and have been pretty pleased with them. However, I had a slightly worrying conversation the other day wherein I was told that soya protein was largely gentically modified and also contained large amounts of oestrogen (sp?). Is this correct? Should I be concerned?

Cheers
Johnny

It sounds like total bollox. Why would it be modified to produce oestrogen.

There are naturally occurring plant oestrogens in soya.
But they won't 'feminise' you. No matter how much Whey Protein you can consume.
The tap water you use contains far more 'feminising' oestrogens. (courtesy of the pill)

No, you shouldn't be worried. It's just more ignorant scaremongering.
