Which bike is better? advice please :)

Hi All,

I'm looking at buying a new mountain bike being as my old raleigh is a heavy affair, i'm after something lightweight with quick release wheels (so i can get it into the boot of my car) preferably in the £200 - £300 price range.

Usage is for a bit of both (70% road and 30% off road) As I have no idea of component quality etc i thought i'd ask for any suggestions/recommendations on here.

I have found a couple of bikes online which interest me which i will go and have a look at over the weekend, can anyone recommend which is better or are they more or less both the same?

To be perfectly honest neither seem that great to me.

Hopefully one of the ladies can advice you on a better model for your budget.

If I were spending £300 I'd either wait 'till the sales or buy used.

acera gears ,lockout forks 100mm ,good brakes and decent tyres .

should do well on rough roads or tracks even a bit of light off road stuff
not being a lady or that techy i could be wrong though
