So, just to update the OG V2 arrived today, I have yet to fit but by offering up I think it will make quite a bit of difference despite not looking as extreme as the pictures - It's very deceptive seeing pictures v actually seeing it.
It's also quite wide at 680mm, so I think 20mm or so off each side will be needed but that not too much of an issue.
I fear a Mike will be joining soon to compare... at least at £20 it's cheap(ish)...

Thanks all for your advice and suggestions,

How did you get on with these in the end?

Still running the OG V2 on my shopping bike, been great, nice and comfortable - for the money they are great. I didn't need to adjust cable lengths for brakes and gears either so it really was just 4 allen bolts and done.

Grand - thanks

I've just bought a set for a project that shall not be named; they look / feel like they have a lot of potential but I'll only really be able to assess them properly once they're on the bike.

Glad you're still liking yours!

Am also curious if these would fit my dads Whyte Shoreditch V1 - spec for the bars is 30mm Rise, 31.8mm, 620mm Wide? Are they similar to the shopping bike you put the OG V2 on?
Tried to fit the Geoff bars also from Planet X but they were too wide 720mm tip-to-tip for the existing hydraulic brake cables on the Whyte. On a side note I have put the Geoff bars on an old hardtail of mine and it has made it a much nicer upright ride for longer distances
