Morning all,

I am going to be puting schwalbe city jet 1.5 tyres on my GT Aggressor XC2 now that im commuting 17 miles each way, but what i need to confirm is which innertube should i be looking for? The bike came with 2.35 tyres so i know i will need smaller tubes

Is a tube just a tube regardless of brand or is there better made ones out there? ie is the halfords/bikehut tubes good or crap?

Thanks

Tubes will cover a range e.g. 700c 18-25c so you just need to buy the size appropriate to your tyre and with whatever valve you use.

I've not found any difference between brands - others may have opinions about self sealing inner tubes.

Inner tubes are generally just inner tubes.

I had issues with the valves pulling out of cheaper tubes but (generalising) more expensive just means lighter which (generalising) means thinner and (generalising) easier to puncture.

I've got slime tubes in my commuter bike. They are a bit heavier but I'm happy with that as a trade-off for not having as many punctures.
