I have my eyes on two rear lights:

The Smart Lunar R2 and the
RSP Astrum

Which is the better quality one please?

I have the Smart Lunar R. Very very bright.
Which is what i was after.......It's not bad quality. I assume the R2 will be just as bright.

I have a smart 1/2w that isn't particularly waterproof - a common problem.

The RSP Astrum has 2 x 1/2w LEDs & another flashing pattern.

The Smart has an additional mount to fit it to the seat stays, but I would go for the Astrum. It's only £10 too.

The Smart range as amazing. This is the one I use

That's the one I've got. It's pretty good.

Quite right, you should always have at least 2 rear lights (so that when one fails unexpectedly you still have a light).

I have the Smart one, which is very bright, and a Cateye LD610 which is less bright.

Here for rides.
Smart Lunar R1 1/2 watt 3 led on flashing and a Smart Polaris R 7 led on steady both mounted on the offside seatstay.

Personally I think the R2 is too bright, especially for other following cyclists.

Hi

I use two RSP Astrum's and I'm really happy with them. They are very bright and I get given plenty of room when being over-taking on some recent night rides that I have been doing. Recommended.

I now have the RSP Astrum .. and hoped it would fit my rear pannier bracket that I have for the Smart 1/2 one - found out that it doesn't when it bounced out... so I must get around to fitting the bracket to the stem of the bike.
