I've soldiered on with my budget Shimano shoes for long enough and it's time for an upgrade. I've got about £100 budgeted for a pair of shoes with roadish styling and, preferably, a ratchet closure, but I need a narrow fit and they must be SPD compatible.

Does anyone have any recommends?

I can't advise on any shoes as my feet are like small barges

What I would say is go along to your LBS, that way you can try plenty on and make an informed decision without the hassle of having to return online purchases due to sizing/fit issues.

One caveat though, please don't take up their time helping you choose, then thank them and go and order online, that's not cricket :ninja:

You're right of course - fit is everything so I will go to an LBS and I will buy local. But I have various shops in Bath who stock various brands so I thought I'd get people's thoughts here first.

Sidi shoes normally come up quite narrow. They're well made, lots of the "bits" are replaceable when they wear out, and if they fit they're supremely comfortable..

Not cheap though - but you may be able to find a pair of Dominators at about the £100 mark if you shop around.

So Spesh or Sidi.... all the "S"s - thanks for the tips. I like the look of the Sidis... time to go shopping!
