Which sport has the worst World Cup?

Following on from something I read in the Grauniad about which sport has the worst world cup.

It was inspired by the current One-Day 50 over Cricket WC - a bloated, over long 5 week bore fest.

Other sports provide some stiff competition though.

Rugby League WC is a mish mash of too few decent teams.

The football WC has a bunch of preening, overpaid, under-performing primadonnas.

Track cycling seems to have a WC every few weeks.

Any thoughts?

The standard of football is nothing like that of the Champions League, not least because the players are tired. Sometimes teams like Nigeria (1994), Bulgaria (1994 again), Ghana (2010) or South Korea (2002) bring flashes of life to the thing, but, in general it's a kind of war of attrition with teams falling by the wayside because of the odd mistake.

The last 2 football world cup's have been garbage. I have more or less lost all interest in that sport now though. I also really dislike rugby, never ever got into watching or playing that sport, but at least the players do not seem like a bunch of overpaid puff's like football ones do.

I would think that the worst ones are those where judges hold up cards to tell you what your score is. Nothing that involves that is really a sport e.g. ice skating, making horses walk in a funny way etc.
