White Screen of Death - Return From the Dead!

Ho yus - it's back! Plugged it into the monitor after my main PC died, and in an effort to get it online, grappling with encryption problems I've mentioned elsewhere, I decided to uninstall and then re-instal the Belkin PCMCIA card - you never know...

So, I uninstalled it, and was just getting ready to re-instal when I noticed the laptop screen was no longer white, but back to normal. Hooray! Now all I need is a prog I can download to watch DVDs on W98SE. Any suggestions appreciated.

WIn98 is pretty old. Must be a very very old laptop!

I would suggest installing windows 2000 on it. Then most programs still in support will work.

So my suggestion : Win2K and PowerDVD

Gawd i'd never run Windows 98 again.Win XP is much better.
