I look like I've been in a wet t-shirt competition...just had to walk through town and the rain is really going for it.

The weather this summer had been really disappointing. Yesterday the wind was so strong I was in 42x25 going down hill and hardly making any forward progress . The weather people don't know their elbow from their ar.......mpit. Two days ago they said there would be dawn to dusk clear blue skies and yet it has been chucking it down with rain in the last few hours. The wind is still pretty strong and gusty. Not that warm either.

IIRC last year was even less sunny...but I do think it was a bit drier than this one overall.

He does but unless you have an old fashioned dial telephone next to a ticking clock and an operator who can put you through to the Sodor exchange, you're best off writing.

To be fair. I went out yesterday, in a prevailingly east direction, and back prevailing west, and managed to have half headwind and half tailwind BOTH WAYS! Not sure how you predict weather like that, it appeared to be meeting in the middle at Stamford Bridge.

Crap Forecasting againing.
For here it was supposed to be cloudy but sunny until 3pm where a band of rain was on it's way from up north.
Got all my kit out last night, comuuter bike all locked up in shed and road bike ready to go in the morning. I woke up late after a crap nights sleep looked out the window saw the wet and got in the car.
Come 10am it's rained unitl about 2pm. Now it's gone sunny.
Excellent use of my licence fee BBC weather another great forecast.
