Nope. The hassle of fundraising from the only sponsored ride that I did seven or so years ago has tarnished any notion of ever doing another sponsored ride. Folk were quick to pledge their money and upon completion of the ride they became experts at camouflage, gaze aversion, and diversionary tactics when the topic of payment arose. It took me six months to collect everything in. The ride was a breeze in comparison.

I think we are doing it separately from the main event. The event organisers are looking for £1300 sponsor money!
We are going to raise our own money and donate to a worthy cause. We have a date to get to Brussels (for the beer festival), people to ride with, a support vehicle and a plan to get home.

Yes mate. 80 miles per day then the piss up/celebration for making it. The beer festival is the target
