The reason I bring this up is that I can't afford to join both the CTC and LCC, but will join one. Insurance is, I admit, one of the main reasons I will be joining. What are some others?

you get legal aid with the ctc, probably with the others as well

Don't know about that, the other month they wasted a whole load of space about someone encouraging bad overtaking by using a helmet camera

I would seriuosly consider BC

Seriously though - legal advice and 3rd party insurance I would say is pretty much essential

Costs virtually nought, and makes you a fully taxed (no emissions) / insured / road user.

The legal help can be seriously handy too
