does anyone get interference from home Wi-Fi or mobile fones etc ?
I'm debating whether to get a wireless or wired Strada . Not really too bothered by the cable but it is a pain I suppose.

I have a Cateye Micro Wireless computer which was given to me but no transmitter.

Has anyone got a transmitter for sale that I can try ? just to make sure my home electonics don't screw up the computer records before I go splash out on a Strada wireless.

Yes I use one and yes I do get interferance from traffic lights ( I think) speed cameras peoples sat nav's and mobile phones!

Does'nt really bother me, but if you prefer to have very accurate readings then use wired.

Oh and by the way when I put my wired one that I have, near my lap top then that goes haywire as well so neither system is fool proof!

I use the Strada wireless on carbon forks - and have found positioning is critical. High up near the rim and it was forever cutting out when near power lines and other random times. on advice, i moved it closer to the hub and it now works perfectly. I'm puzzled by the science of that, but empirically it worked!

Cateye double wireless - sensor on rear stay for cadence/speed. The Computer sits between two high powered Hope LED lamps, and no interference at all.

thats good news thanks.

It is...... as I asked the LBS if it would it be OK....having shelled out £65 , mentioned the fact that there would be two Hopes sat either side - metal etc. and used on flashing many times.... (which is apparently what can cause the 'loss of signal'.

TBH I have been very impressed with it - you don't need the magnet within a couple of mm's - works fine 5mm and more........... It's been properly soaked this summer...probably survived worse weather than we get in the winter.

Ground loops for traffi lights and speed cameras do ause problems. I have finished a ride to find my top speed was 109mph! Further investigation shows this was attained at the set of lights nearest to home, while waiting for them to change!

I'm finally getting minor interference with my cateye micro but its done over 10000miles in all weathers. It was fine up until I removed it about 6 months ago. Since I've put it back on it seems to stop reading occaisionally for a little bit if I go over a rough section of road. I thought it might have been a flat battery but I've replaced that and still get the problem

That explains it, I was sure I couldn't have been doing 60mph+ on the flat;) It's only happened a couple of times though and since I've changed offices.

Cateye Strada Wireless, rarely have interference. Occasionally had it cycling past tram lines but I do this extremely often and rarely happens. Had what I think what interference from what was probably a mobile phone mast. It's very rare.

I've got a Sigma Speed transmitter and handlebar bracket (but no computer) that you can HAVE if you want for a couple of beer tokens.
