Darth Vader or James Bond?

Neither scruple much against taking life. Both have some fancy vehicles and weaponry. James Bond has more gadgets. James Bond does not really have a costume but he has a style. This allows him to be incognito, which Darth Vader cannot do. James Bond does not have any superpowers as such, while Darth Vader has telekinesis, mind control and super athleticism, skill and reflexes. Bond is probably smarter than Vader. He is pretty good on athleticism, skill and reflexes too, but not in Vader's class. On the other hand, it does not do to bet against Bond's resourcefulness and on-the-spot ingenuity.

I think seeing as we're looking at the actors and the characters - darth vader may have had a British actor inside the suit, but was definitely not a british character, us brits come from a long time in the future in a galaxy far away..

Whereas although the character of James bond may be British, the actor playing him has not always been British..

Yes, but typically Bond finds himself in a scrap with a big fellow with his plans all gone awry. He's usually been disarmed and doesn't have time to think. He has to react on the spot. Do those lightsabres conduct electricity? What would happen if Bond threw a bucket of water over him?

That's interesting, is the Force more powerful than electricity? It's probably a higher quality form of energy than electricity, like electricity is a higher quality form of energy than steam power, but you can do a lot with steam power.

Whether Vader reacts in time to turn it back on him might depend on his frame of mind. How often have we seen it? The big guy thinks he had Bond cornered. Being a bit of a sadist, he wants to savour it. He's already thinking of the bragging rights. It's the last mistake he ever makes.
