Just walked into work to face an onslaught of abuse from a colleague about cyclists.... the usual road tax and insurance argument came up along with other things but this was all because as he was going round a roundabout signalling right a cyclist shot down his left cutting him up as he was turning off....

I did put him in his place however re all the points he tried to make particularly him signalling right and the cyclist passed on his left, if he wanted that turning he should've been signalling left

Needless to say he's now left feeling like a Muppet sulking in the office for tarring everyone with the same brush and having totally unfounded arguments which he voiced in front of everyone

Haha and my shift has just begun

So he was indicating right while intending to turn left? I really don't think it's the cyclist(s) who have a case to answer there....!

How can he get cut up by a cyclist passing him on his near side? Did he not look properly as he completed his manoeuvre off the roundabout? I would have said "Look mate I realise you may have just had a really traumatic incident but you're ranting at the wrong person. Why would you take it out on me any more than you would on other motorists if you had been cut up on your way to work by another car driver who suddenly changed lanes in front of you causing you to swerve? Sorry, but it has absolutely nothing to do with me."

Because he's Moody and thought I'd be an easy target (the happy smiling face confuses people)

Did you ask him why he was expecting you to explain or be responsible for the actions of other cyclists? How would he like it if you held him responsible for every law-breaking motorist you encountered?
