Brandane

The Costa Clyde rain magnet.
A Kindle Fire HD that is! Only got this last night, on offer at Sainsburys. £40 off the smaller 7" screen 16gb version. Not being very techie, I am already amazed at what this can do. Got an app which turns it into a radio with any amount of stations.
Books, games, loads of them! Internet access as I'm doing now, and all on a portable device.
Best of all for me, no more having to go into a freezing spare room to use the desktop in winter. Nice to join the 21st century.....

Now, what cycling apps should I be getting?

Welcome to to the dark side, you'll never be off the thing, you will never get anything done and your partner will rue the day you bought it.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
Its brilliant not having to sit at a desk. You can have it on your knees. I love my tablet. Never use my , laptop now.

I got one for Xmas last year, after specifically saying that I didn't want one, it leaves me cold and lives in a draw somewhere. If you didn't have to rip the box to get in, I could have given it away this Xmas.

Last week my wife finally got around to buying a tablet (a Nook HD+) after a great deal of persuasion from myself. This replaced a netbook which is known around the house as "mum's doorstop".

It now holds enough books to keep her busy for a very long time, a few films she's been wanting to see and has access to her emails, internet, etc.

The money spent was worth it so I don't have to hear the whining about the slowness of her old netbook.
