on the ride home last night i wished i had put the camera on charge in work. I could have caught the nobber pedalist on video for al of You tube to see

its comical when you see a sweaty commuter plough through a red light to almost the middle of a junction and then berate a motorist for going across on amber. it makes it even funnier when you then proceed to ride on the pavement wherte the war memorial is. shouting at me "who rattled your cage" when you are red faced with anger after i responded to your "shouldn't go through redlight" comment at the driver with " neither should you" and trying to nudge my back wheel will lead me to drop a cog and kick away from you whilst laughing.

maybe if you channelled your rage into pedalling effort you may be a little more efficient. calling me a **** is also comical hence my laughing at you as i pedalled away with little effort.

haven't you got one on your mobile phone?
Talking of which, where are the cops when it comes to booking motorists texting/phoning while driving?
I see loads every day and when I point 3 fingers at them ( 3 points) all I get is 1 finger back.

not quite true that is it Gaz. hope you are not turning all Daily Fail on us now by not letting truth get in the way of a post.

they are policed, just not as effectiveley as some of us would like. given the limited resources every police force has/doesn't have its inevitable somebody won't be happy.

Gaz is largely right - the level of traffic policing is very very low, due mostly to government target setting I believe.

As for not having cameras - isn't that just a case of not planning ahead sufficiently? You know that thing that poor drivers never seem to do either...

There is a difference between a police car and a traffic police car. The latter is rarely seen on the road and in general police cars will not be on the look out for dangerous road users.

So with a limited amount of traffic officers on the road, drivers are rarely pulled over for their offences and are rarely told what they are doing wrong.
This means that drivers get into bad habbits and drive dangerously because that is what they are used to and get away with.

The amount of people that drive without insurance, ved, mot, a license or with a ban shows that the roads are unpoliced.

I think I have this right from how it was explained to me by a copper. Part of the problem is that traffic officers are used to deal with all police matter due to lack of officers/cut backs etc and so the traffic part of the job is now secondary. That way targets for policing can be met. Statistics matter nowadays, not results.
