Smart car man sounds like a bit of a rebel. A loose cannon?
What is this "pushbike" you talk of? Doth it not have pedals that one couldst propel it with?Indeed. But sometimes when I do it on my pushbike they get the hump.
I bet he does that parking sideways thing as well, just because he can.
It's "the lights" that get me, they seem to give rise to much controversy, then when they say there's another lot 100 metres down the road? Why so close? wtf?Is there not a proper sub forum for squabbling about cars and bikes?
My apologies, showing my age. I did, of course, mean to refer to my pedalcycleWhat is this "pushbike" you talk of? Doth it not have pedals that one couldst propel it with?
Coming back wi' t'hound and I run into one of those temporary three-way controls, on account of they've scraped the tarmac off about 100 metres of road.
When I finally get through the lights and turn right, there is of course a long line of traffic, which as I start passing it is being overtaken by one of those little Smart cars, which passes me going the other way, and all the waiting cars, and then (I check the mirror) pulls in right at the front of the queue, ready for the green light. Now, as far as I can see, the guy hasn't actually broken any laws. The 'other side of the road' that he was using was vacant when he used it; no-one was put at any risk; nothing he did would constitute 'dangerous driving', or contravene any other particular law that I know of. He was just queue jumping, pure & simple.
And yet if anyone in that queue had got out, wrenched his door open, hauled him out onto the road and beaten him to a pulp, as he richly deserved, I bet they'd be the one in trouble. I think driving like that should be an offence, and people who do it should have their cars crushed. Especially if they're Smart cars.
Rant over.
