My Wife is doing the exact same, does it all the time. Notting Hill on Sat being another example.

I can't really comment as i watched The Green Mile last night, despite having the DVD. it was just i stumbled across it and the thread on here earlier had prompted my interest.

Surprised you've not seen it mate. I really enjoyed it but to me it was one of those films when I left the cinema I thought I would not watch again. Don't know why. Was the same with Gladiator

Seems sentimental lovey dovey. So I've avoided it! Plus it will remind me of Chris Tarrant.

Remember my first date with my now wife was to go and see Shallow Grave. Then on our first valentines night I took her to see Interview with the Vampire. I also took her to see The Exorcist. She had my number!

it's actually worth a watch. Without the adverts.

This has reminded me of something which I have never seen...why can't TV recorders pause recording during adverts so you don't have to watch or fastforward through them on playback? I'm sure it is technologically possible on digital TV, although the broadcasters would probably not support it (if it required adding a code to the signal).
