...do folk see Bradley Wiggins on tv and think "I know, I'll cycle to work", then arrive, decide it was too much like hard work, and then leave their bikes cluttering up the bike racks, depriving other users of space?

Nowt worse on a commute to arrive and find 5 of the 8 spaces now taken by bikes that havent moved for some time, and staff pitching up for work have nowhere to stash their beloved bikes.

Time for a quick email, stating that if they're not removed within 5 days I'll conclude they've abandoned their ownership rigts and I'll dopnate them to charidee ;)

If they didn't cycle home again, how did they get there?!
I sometimes leave my bike at work if it rains a lot and I can persuade Mr6 to come get me instead, but we have loads of space and it usually gets a service if I leave it in the right place.

I have the exact same issue at my nick. There aren't many spaces - about ten? - whic is manageable as not many cycle in, however with the rise in popularity they are starting to run out every now and then. Twice in the last four months I haven't had a space. O both time I've simply moved one of the bikes tha have been there gathering rust and dust for ages and leaned it up against the wall, outside the racks.

Neither bike have moved since. Shows how much the owners give a crap, they've probably not even been back to notice! I may have to TWOC one of them one day if I ever go for a drink in town and don't fancy paying for a taxi back ;)

As Drago works at a police station, they probably beg for a 'blue light taxi'. (That just refers to the vehicle btw, not actually suggesting we beat people home on blues and twos!)

As long as I breathe, I attack.
I like it when it gets cooler and darker as the bike sheds are a lot less crowded, our c2w schemehas really increased the number is the racks, from when i started 4 ? years ago it has gone from the odd bike to fighting for prime spots in view of the cameras and in the best position which for me is 1 certain spot wheer i can lock the frame to the wall and the rear wheel in the rack without using the wheelbender.

Mine at work are full - fortunately I got the chance to talk to the lady who provides them about having more at a prize-giving ceremony. Nothing like her face in a bike-giving to add pressure

We've got 2 or 3 that haven't moved since June, plus lots more now cycling to work. I lock mine to one which hasn't moved in 18 months each day ^_^
