With luck I will arrive in Heathrow around 1700 hours. I won’t have my faithful Dacia tonight (it’s at the body shop), so have to pick-up a hire car.
So let's say 1800 latest on the road to Deal via M25 to the M20 and home via Dover.

What are the chances?
What are the local travel updates?
Shoukd I stock-up on Kendal Mint Cake before leaving Heathrow?
Should I book into a hotel?
Shoukd I stay in the business lounge in Madrid and drink them out of Rioja?
