Does this mean that a cloud free August 1st will have a 'sunniest August this century?' headline?

That pretty much confirms what I'd suspected. It's been good for training purposes, but a bit scary over this bridge I regularly cross, on my routes.

It's 92 feet at its highest point, and is a busy bus route, with no protection from cross winds:eek:

I believe it. My shed roof has defied all laws of physics by still being there despite being supported by timber which crumbles. I really must do something before winter.

I feel vindicated!

Which also explains why this thing hasn't had much air-time this year (none in fact). 10ft span, lightly loaded, 30cc petrol. Needs light winds up and down the runway otherwise takeoff is a bit hairy, leading to scraped wingtips. So much time building this that I don't want to damage it! Flies very nicely on a calm summer's evening.
