Quick Question To The IT Literate Out There.........

My lap-top recently auto-updated (Windows 10), & now when I restart it (to use again), any windows that I left open during closure have gone
This is rather annoying, losing any mapping/photo-reference pages, etc...

Is there something in 'Settings' I can alter?

A friend suggested
Try Control Panel > File Explorer Options.
In the view tab, make sure that "Restore previous folder windows at logon" is checked.

I did, & it was ticked/applied

It seems to close them on a whim
They were all there this AM, but on Sunday morning,.......... all gone

Thanks in advance:okay:

That option is just for file browsing windows and doesn't cover other applications. The option you are looking for is under Settings > Accounts > Sign in Options > Restart Apps (on/off switch)

This is the setting which is used to allow some applications to restore their settings when you restart.

I read the subject heading and expected to see the first draft.
